AUTHOR OVERCOMES DEBT BY TEACHING HIMSELF TO TRADE IN THE STOCK MARKET.

MISSISSAUGA, ONT. – Illegal immigration to the US, Canadian refugee status, endless trade jobs, workplace accidents, surgeries and resulting debt led René Pineda to teach himself how to trade in the stock market. Now he’s publishing his first book, The Illiterate Investor, which uses basic language and simple examples to help others easily learn how to invest in the stock market. “It started as a personal exercise, to build self-esteem,” says Pineda. “But now it’s a business.

People are asking me to coach them.” Pineda hopes to empower others, and show them that anyone willing to work hard can learn to trade, regardless of their upbringing or background. “There’s no need for discrimination on Wall Street,” he adds.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR – René Pineda was born in El Salvador and emigrated to North America in 1981. He now lives with his wife and two children in Mississauga, Ontario. More info: www.renepineda.ca.
